Residents Parking Zone

We desperately need to work out what's happening with the RPZ by the college and hospital. At present, some roads have controlled parking and others don't, meaning that cars absolutely flood down the roads with unrestricted parking. The congestion is getting beyond ridiculous – it took me 45 minutes just to get to the end of my street last week – and it's not fair to residents to have two systems side-by-side like this. We need to decide one way or the other and put everyone on the same setup.

Why the contribution is important

Congestion

Nowhere to park

Fairness for residents

I totally agree with this idea! It is extremely frustrating and the Council need to look into this as soon as possible!

I am live on one of the streets that does not have controlled parking. It is an absolute nightmare to either get down the street or to park somewhere convenient to my own home. The Council need to do something about this urgently.

Totally echo the idea and the comments above. The Council need to do something about this! It's causing a lot of road rage and angst!

This issue definitely exists but I would say this issue is actually a lot broader and the Council needs to sort out its parking strategy for the rest of Arlen Hill also. Being a driver, it takes my often more than 30mins just to find a parking space on weekends.

Perhaps the Council should introduce a park & ride scheme?
