Seed funding for start ups to manufacture new products

Manufacturing can only exist where there is a demand for a particular product. A good opportunity would be for Government to provide seed funding for start ups who have designed innovative and in demand products (such as through crowdsourcing initiatives) to set up and manufacture their products in the UK.

This will obviously create jobs in manufacturing in the UK as well as boosting jobs. More importantly it will help to retain a manufacturing skill base in the UK, particularly for new, emerging and innovative products.

We need to support companies and businesses attempting to make it in the current competitive market. In addition by providing the companies with funding and support to keep manufacturing in the UK that would boost the UK manufacturing industry immensely.
